Everything began when Abe spotted a mysterious woman at a clothing release party hosted by a mutual friend.

She caught his eye immediately—so much so that even the new clothing collection suddenly lost its appeal. (Sorry, Sandro & Philipp.)

While others were busy with snacks and small talk, Abe had only one mission in mind: Who is she?!

Of course, he had to find out more. True to his direct nature, he asked his friend about the intriguing beauty—and, as luck would have it, Annina was single!

From that moment on, one thing was clear to Abe: the mission “Getting to Know Her” was to be continued.

The actual getting to know each other, however, took a little time.

At that point, Abe was deeply immersed in his designs, while Annina was working nonstop as a midwife in Basel.

There was little more than a brief introduction from Abe—no long conversation, no big fuss.

But sometimes an honest “Hi” is enough. Annina actually found that quite refreshing.

She immediately liked his uncomplicated, straightforward way.

The story continued thanks to a friend who had apparently taken on a side job as Cupid.

Without bow and arrow, but with plenty of skill, he managed to make sure that Abe and Annina kept crossing paths at church—and started talking. The conversations grew longer and more familiar.

One day after the service, Abe didn’t just leave with a blessing, but also with Annina’s phone number.

From then on, their phones were buzzing—friends can confirm: there was texting and calling nonstop!

Texting turned into meetings, meetings into closeness—and eventually into something more.

Today, we are grateful for every single step of this journey … and we look forward to everything that is still to come.
